Visitors are enchanted by the <strong>Laghi Series No. 8,<\/strong> a splendid sailboat from 1920 that once belonged to Countess and explorer <em>Carlangela Durini<\/em>. <br\/>The red hull of <strong>the Laura I\u00b0<\/strong>, designed by <em>Guido Abbate<\/em> \u2014the first boat to exceed 200 km\/h\u2014and the perfectly preserved elegance of <strong>the Colombo Super Rocket 007<\/strong> certainly do not go unnoticed.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bookstore<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This room also houses our bookshop, which features books and essays on the nautical history of Lake Como, novels and short stories set on the lake, as well as gifts and souvenirs strictly related to boating or themed around Lake Como.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Porsche Type 729 Engine<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most interesting marine-converted engines in history powered the 356.  <br\/>Can also be used as an inboard engine in V-Drive mode.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the Barca Lariana Museum Eight different boats, an introduction to the museum&#8217;s exhibits: from the first boat to break the 200 kh barrier to the elegance of a British pleasure craft.
